COOK Islands offers a convenient and relaxing destination for budget travellers and backpackers. On Rarotonga, one is never far from a white sand beach. Backpacker accommodation and budget motels are available on the island and it is easy to get around via buses that travel along the coastal road that goes right around the island. Aitutaki also offers some low-cost accommodation with budget motels and beach huts.
